Cincinnati Bengals donate $250K to Riverfront Park

The Business Courier is reporting that the Bengals organization has donated $250,000 to the Parks project on the riverfront. The check was presented during the groundbreaking ceremony today.
We couldn’t make it this morning to the groundbreaking, so no photos, but you can read about the ceremony at the following sites:

It seems kind of strange that the Bengals waited this long to throw some support behind the Banks project. Or did they already put their backing into it and I just missed it (which is very possible)?

Do you think they would’ve contributed this if they had won last Sunday?
