Cincinnati Bengals donate $250K to Riverfront Park

The Business Courier is reporting that the Bengals organization has donated $250,000 to the Parks project on the riverfront. The check was presented during the groundbreaking ceremony today.
We couldn’t make it this morning to the groundbreaking, so no photos, but you can read about the ceremony at the following sites:

Insects on the Banks

Maybe not too much construction, but certainly a lot of stories in the news this week about the Banks project.

Gerald Checco, Superintendent, Operations, Environmental and International Affairs Cincinnati Park Board has a column in this week’s Pulse Downtowner regarding the new Riverfront Park.
He invites anyone who wants to attend the groundbreaking to actually take a trowel in hand and dig at the ceremony. Sounds fun.

Hotel Proposed for Banks

The Cincinnati Business Courier is reporting that the Banks developer is considering adjusting the Banks plan to attract a hotel rather than a condominium tower.
With credit tight, the mortgage market in meltdown, and a lot of people tightening their pocket books this doesn’t seem like such a bad idea.
