Biking facilities added to Riverfront park

Cincinnati is making real strides toward meeting the needs of alternative commuters with the recent announcment by Parks Director Willie Cardon that the new Riverfront park will have a 4,500 sq ft biking facility.
The report comes from the Cincinnati Business Courier on Friday July 25. Apparently the facility will include bike rentals, lockers and showers.

Banks project goes Disney?

According to an article on the WLWT web site, Carter/Dawson, the developer, has asked the city and county officials to envision Disney World style entertainment for the Banks project. Company names mentioned in the article include negotiations with Kroger, ESPNZone and Margaritaville.

The first sign of green

Well folks, I think we finally have the tiniest seed of a commitment to go green on The Banks development.
In checking out the status for some other local Cincinnati green building projects, I noticed that Carter and The Dawson Company registered “100 Walnut at The Banks” as a LEED-CS project on July 1st.
