Trashed Again

Every time there is a Reds game or other event near the Riverfront, we’re disappointed to see what people leave behind. There are trash cans on every corner downtown, so there is no excuse for what we find.
Some times we consider asking people if they do this to their own neighborhoods in the ‘burbs.
We live here, this is our neighborhood. Think about that the next time you go to a Reds or Bengals game and throw your trash around.

I agree that “Trashing the Nati’” is all too common a thing to do. I envision the Reds/Bengals halving their concession prices while also joining the city in a strongly worded policy about trash. The genuineness of cutting outlandish concessions would give license to ask better of the public. Is this behavior justified without concessions? No, but I believe people, after being gouged are less likely to consider litter to be their concern. It’ll take buy-in from government, industry, ballclubs, citizens, and fans to clean this habit up.
